Doug Catanzaro: Dynamic Teacher
I am an energetic, collaborative educator who teaches by a simple rule: students come first. I like working in teams and planning interdisciplinary lessons. My positive, enthusiastic style drives a student centered approach. I enjoy helping young adolescents to reason critically.
I currently teach middle school history, language arts and global issues. I also coach girls basketball, boys baseball and lead a week without walls service learning school trip to Nepal. I serve as middle school environmental club advisor.
I communicate effectively with students and parents by keeping a digital record of our year long journey through middle school language arts and social studies.
